The content of Don’t Be a Meathead is simply too involved for one person to cover it all.  For that reason, Dr. Manison put together a hand-picked team of specialists in different areas to help educate. Please read more about each specialist on their own page (we’re building these pages at this time but take a look below for a quick snippet.)

Although we will be helping people covering lots of topics, we’re going to concentrate on youth sports as there’s a tremendous lack of quality data available and there are millions of kids (and parents) who need a source of quality information.  We want to be your source.  We’ll be linking our YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and more sites soon.  Ultimately, the YouTube channel will have the greatest amount of information.  Please spread the word, look for us on all platforms, and follow us.  🙂

Steven Horwitz, DC, CCSP.  –  What can be said about Dr. Horwitz.  35 years in the field of chiropractic and advanced sports injury rehabilitation.  The 1996 official chiropractor of the summer Olympics and the first true sports medicine chiropractor in the state of Maryland.  Dr. Manison modeled a lot of his education after Dr. Horwitz.  35 years of dedication and a wealth of information needs to be shared.  So many will be helped by Dr. Horwitz’s contributions with DBAM.

Cara Zaller, MS, CNS, MBA – Cara is a true functional nutritionist.  Her knowledge base is deep and Dr. Manison has been referring his patients to Cara for years to help with a plethora of health issues and body composition needs.  Cara lives the life and doesn’t just help others with it.  A fitness professional, competitive body builder, and now a ranked pickle-ball player all underscore her commitment to an active lifestyle which first starts with proper sports nutrition.

Vic Selvaggi – This group of professionals would not be complete without Vic.  Dr. Manison has worked with Vic for many a year as the FMS approach to training ensures a scientific approach to help ensure athletes and those recovering from injury achieve optimal mobility and stability.  Dr. Manison works closely with the staff of trainers at Vic’s Kinetic Systems and whereas Dr. Manison works with corrective exercises with his patients, he subsequently refers them to Vic and his crew for conditioning.

Mark Thomas – A journalist, Emmy winner, and more, Mark lends his professional skillset and love for sports performance to DBAM.  Well connected in the college sports world, Mark will be an important voice for DBAM.
