Vic Selvaggi, CPT

 

Vic Selvaggi brings his experience to DBAM as a professional in the Strength and Conditioning field for well over a decade.  He is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from the National Strength Professional Association (NSPA), as well as a CPT  through the American Fitness Professional Associates (AFPA).  He is a continuing education provider for AFPA and holds a Russian Kettlebell Certification (RKC I), is a Certified Kettlebell Functional Movement Specialist (CK-FMS), and is also certified in Strong First Girya (SFG II).  Vic is also EXOS (Athlete’s Performance Institute) trained and certified.  For aiding with assessment/screening of clients to help determine training programs, Vic utilizes the FMS (Functional Movement Screen) system.  He is certified from Functionalmovement.com.

Vic owns and operates Kinetic Systems in Columbia, MD.  His training studio is unique and the trainers are all FMS certified.  Vic has vast experience working with youth athletes and his studio makes for a perfect environment for assessments and demonstrations for DBAM.

After earning a B.S. in Business Administration, he started working with clients as a trainer. Over the years, he has gone on to earn many training certifications including the RKC Level 1, CK-FMS, SFG Levels I and II.

Vic specializes in training athletes, especially youth athletes.  He has developed a strong background in strength and conditioning, athletic development and enhancement, pre and post natal fitness, corrective exercise and design, energy system development, functional training, and Original Strength principles.

Vic has received the Certificate of Appreciation for Maryland’s Strongest Police Officer Power-lifting competition, he has been recognized with numerous outstanding ratings in yearly evaluations, he has garnered numerous memos of recognition throughout his career, and he has run several benefit competitions for Special Olympics of Maryland.

Recognized in Howard magazine as ‘Howard County’s Best Personal Trainer’ in 2010 and 2011, Vic also won honorable mention for the years 2012-2015.
